Retouching

Retouching improves the appearance of an image or hides something we'd rather not see.  Let's look at an example:

Nice photo, but there are a lot of distractions!

Solution: remove the man, the extra soccer ball, a light pole, a car, and a satellite dish and you get the picture I intended.
